Famous Forgeries is an ongoing series of work, hi-jacking old Hollywood Press shots (Head shots) with false signatures and numerous non-sensical, absurdist messages, inverting the ideas of identity and celebrity. Hilarious and strange they greatly reflect the artist whom as created them.
This zine is inspired lunacy.

A strange series of pages focused on a rough looking baby-doll who’s vague gestures
and actions range from shaking its arm, to rubbing its eye, to spitting, snorting, and finally playing bass, as it floats ominously in the black void of the page.
The female form was created by Carmen using a babydoll and the female members
of the Argentine band , whom the zine is named after and dedicated to.
Carmen Burguess is an artist & musicain from Argentine now living in Berlin. Her amazing band, has been on both WHORE EYES Cd Comps and her digital collage work will be a part of the upcoming Drippy Bone Books 6 artist collage zine:
